Our Programs

English Curriculum

Our language arts curriculum, for students in grades 2 to 10, engages in purposeful literacy to develop the critical reading and effective writing skills essential in our information-saturated world.

Our weekly 90 minute small group classes emphasize higher order thinking, analysis, and skilled craftsmanship. Texts include not only great works of literature, but also articles on current affairs.

Areas covered include:

Building extensive vocabulary with online platform.
Refining grammatical fluency.
Analyzing complex literature and current affairs articles.
Developing strong essay writing skills.

STEM Curriculum

The Gaussian STEM curriculum offers mathematics and computer science classes. Mathematics classes focus on developing both procedural fluency and conceptual understanding. Students learn to easily connect the abstract and the concrete. Simulations and animations bring abstract mathematical concepts to life for deep understanding. Computer science classes focus on developing algorithmic thinking and software engineering skills using Python, Javascript, and Java. Classes include PreAlgebra CC6/7, PreAlgebra CC7/CC8, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus, AP Calculus, Computer Science, and AP Computer Science. Classes meet weekly for 90 minutes.

SAT/ACT Preparation

We apply the same cognitive science principles to our SAT/ACT Prep program. We have spent hundreds of hours pouring over all SAT/ACT prep material to create the best program that maximizes student scores. We prepare students one-on-one during the academic year for either SAT or ACT, and we offer an SAT Bootcamp. We conduct only small group classes to provide personalized and targeted instruction.
